I bought the Edinburgh II Globe for my father for his birthday so I didn't actually get to see the globe since we live in different cities[...] my father was so pleased. He said it was beautiful, easy to read and that it was exactly what he wanted. (for the man who has everything, I was thankful!!)

The Edinburgh globe is a great choice for those looking for a chair side viewing globe. The 16" size makes for easy reference to over 4,000 named places and the blue colored oceans are an excellent choice for contrasting with darker color wood finishes within a room. One note is the overall height of 38", designed at a height that is preferred for chair side viewing. If your preference is a antique parchment colored ocean globe, check out the sister product called the Commander II. Same configuration but with a antique parchment colored globe ball. An additional feature is the full swing meridian that allows the globe to be moved forward, backward and left to right and back.
