[...] It was beautiful! Even more so than the photographs and it was easy to set up. 16" is a lot bigger than it seems online or measured flat. So it's an impressive globe. Refreshing take on an antique feel with the colors-soft tans and browns. I could see if you had lots of rambunctious kids or dogs it might be a bit top heavy. But unless you knock heavily right into it, it is fine, sturdy, big and gorgeous.

We bought this globe as a gift for our son and his family. It arrived quickly and was beautiful. Love the "antique" look and the detail -- even IDs all US states.
We shopped around and this was the best price for the top quality globe.
We liked it so much, we may buy one for ourselves!

We have toddler twins, so no matter what we buy & try to keep from them is immediately attractive. The globe is not "not safe" for kids -- they just love to spin it with all their might which causes it to wobble & fall. Not the products fault, but their parents!

I bought this product for my father as Christmas gift and he loved it. We all enjoy looking over it to figure out where a certain city/country is. The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars was that we have large dogs in the house and we get nervous when one gets to close to the globe. Also, I'm a very tall person and from a standing position the globe is a little difficult to work.
